We do not collect data about you beyond what you voluntarily provide, and we do not buy contact lists or message people who have not contacted us or opted in.
Our lawful bases under the UK GDPR are your consent (for WhatsApp messaging and marketing), the performance of a contract (for client work), and our legitimate interest in replying to enquiries you send us.
We use the WhatsApp Business Platform, provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., to communicate with customers. If you message us first on WhatsApp, we will reply on WhatsApp to help with your enquiry.
We will only start a WhatsApp conversation with you if you have given us your number and opted in — by ticking the WhatsApp consent box on our contact form, by messaging us first, or by agreeing in writing during an engagement. Opting in is never a condition of using our services or receiving a quote.
To opt out at any time, reply STOP to any WhatsApp message from us, or email info@lightsaltconsult.com. We stop sending messages as soon as we receive your request, and we do not charge you anything to opt out. Your mobile provider's standard data charges may apply to messages you send and receive.
WhatsApp messages are end-to-end encrypted in transit. Meta processes messages in order to deliver them and handles that data under its own privacy policy, which we do not control.
We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. Your information is accessible only to LightSalt Consult team members who need it to respond to you. We share data with a small number of service providers who process it strictly on our instructions:
Some of these providers operate outside the United Kingdom. Where data is transferred internationally, it is protected by the safeguards required under UK data protection law, such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
We keep your personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law. Contact form and waitlist records are kept for up to 12 months. WhatsApp conversations are kept for up to 24 months from your last message to us. Records tied to a paid engagement, such as invoices, are kept for six years as UK tax law requires. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.
This website does not set advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or social media tracking pixels. It does load fonts from Google Fonts and images from third-party image hosts, which means those providers receive your IP address and browser information as part of serving the request. The site also uses the technical cookies required by the Next.js framework for normal operation.
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email info@lightsaltconsult.com. We respond within 30 days.
